Our story

Same family. Same chair. Half a century.

Dr Peter Houston opened John Street Dental in February 1976. The peninsula looked different then. The chair on John Street has been in the same family ever since.

His son, Dr David Houston, joined the practice in 2009 and now runs it day to day. The patient list reads like a Redcliffe phonebook. People who came in as kids in the 80s now sit in the same room with their own children.

"Many of our patients saw us as children, and now bring their own kids."

The brief has stayed the same for fifty years. Listen first. Explain everything. Take your time. It is not a complicated promise, but it is a rare one to keep.
